After a long hiatus (personal issues folks) I am working on a re-branding of the After Days series.
This will include a rewritten first volume split into two and some re-jigging of the old vol 2 and 3. So for those of you who have read the series up to date, Affliction will become two volumes, the old Sanctuary will be vol 3 and Attrition will be vol 4. For those waiting on the paperback of Odyssey (vol 4) this will be volume 5 of the new series and out later this year, - I will also publish a seperate paperback version with the old After Days branding so it will sit nicely on the bookcase next to the other two.
Why?
While After days had a great reception and follow through readers, it never quite reached the audience I hoped it would. I'm sure those of you who read the series and enjoyed it would agree it wasn't as successful as it could have been and with what I've learned over the last four years I want to have another crack at it making it a hit.
Why split the first novel? I always envisioned it as a stand alone book, but when the series grew I always wished I could have gone back and made it more episodic, so the first book is now two shorter snappier "episodes" completely rewritten without any major structural changes..
You're re-branding, what will the series be called?
AMERICA FALLS.
Coming April 2018.
